Pros

A few, albeit only a very few or a select handful of the attorneys that work here are highly intelligent, hard working folks with moral values. It's these 3 or 4 guys that carry the weight of about 120 other attorneys that are glorified slackers only working there because a family member got them the job and/or they are basketball/drinking buddies with the named partner(s).

Cons

Contract attorneys are treated like second class citizens. Serious sexual harassment issues. One woman had the baby of a married partner. Multiple people having extra marital affairs. #me too, a partner that I admired came on to me in a strong and frightening way, and I didn't report it because I faulted myself for drinking too much with the boys club. Women that agree to this type of situation are "protected" and rewarded with higher bonuses than others who don't agree, or aren't involved. "Circle of Greed" - read it. What gets me most is that I believe that there are good people there who know that there is a bad culture there with respect to sexual harassment and the treatment of staff attorneys, but they do nothing about it and let it carry on. On a side note, the women in high power positions are very few, and they're not interested in helping other women succeed or choosing the female attorneys for their projects. It seems that they think that since they had to work hard to get to where they're at, they want you to do the same. I hope that in the time since I left that the #metoo movement has sparked some change in this firm's culture. Also I hope that someone will stand up for the staff attorneys; no one deserves to be treated as less of a person than anyone else. There's no justifying treating anyone as below you. I stayed here for as long as I did because I believed in the cause and was passionate about penalizing corporate wrongdoers. I was fully aware of these issues that I write about here but ignored them until I finally couldn't take it anymore and went to work for a competitor. I waited years to write this review because I didn't want to write it in a time of anger or shame at what happened to me. I want to provide helpful feedback that isn't tainted by the ill culture of the firm. In response to other reviews, the hours are fine, not unlike any other law firm. I worked 8 to 10 hours a day, and usually either Sat or Sun morning. A typical attorneys' hours. I started early so I was rarely ever there past 6pm on a weekday. The issue is that the firm doesn't really get going until 9 or 9:30am, so folks say that they work long hours but what they fail to tell you is that they didn't get in until late in the morning and took a good long lunch (and dinner) break. I did, however, have to cancel a weekend trip once because a partner couldn't get his act together to get me my part of my assignment until he was pushing up against a deadline. But I'm not complaining about that; obligated to the cause, I turned my car around and went directly into the office.

Pros

Mentally challenging cases and smart group of attorneys

Cons

No work life balance - if you're considering being an attorney there be prepared to always be on call (never put your phone down, including evenings/weekends) and be prepared to cancel vacations for "emergency" motions/hearing prep. There is also very clear sexism occurring there - clear preference to hire male attorneys because women having babies and going on maternity leave are a clear inconvenience to management/culture there. The few women partners there do not want to see other women succeed. Named/founding partners of the firm, including the managing partner of the Boca Raton office does not vouch for women to be partner and does not care in seeing women succeed but has promoted several less experienced men as partners.

Pros

Laid back environment, casual dress code, gorgeous downtown high rise facility, lots of perks such as Padres game tickets, snacks, flexible-ish work schedule, paid parking, monthly parties, and company-wide celebrations for major holidays.

Cons

Mediocre compensation, little to no room for growth, huge gap between executives and regular workforce, expensive healthcare premiums for families, and antiquated systems.
