Pros

Clearly Remits management team have been made to write fake reviews on here to try and claw back their company. There are a few good people who work there, but most of those people are rarely in the office.

Cons

Sue Pittock the Managing Director is useless! How she became the MD is astonishing considering how incompetent she is. She's rude, treats staff like they're disposable and doesn't value anyone's opinions even though people are supposedly employed for their knowledge and skill base. Why employ staff only to go and undermine everybody's opinion?? Pointless even bothering was the conclusion myself and many of the staff thought. My advice to anyone looking for a job at Remit would be to stay well away and approach one of their competitors.

Pros

Generally there are some superb, passionate people working at Remit however even this “pro” has a downside as it’s hard to work with these people when they are downtrodden and have no confidence left. They’re are some other perks such as a modern workspace, a decent company car, and good quality IT equipment. The CEO has a great vision for the apprentice experience and promotes this well within the company.

Cons

The culture of the company needs to be overhauled and fast as ultimately it is one of incredible pressure to meet impossible targets, no recognition or appreciation and most worryingly intimidation and bullying. With a Jekyll and Hyde CEO promising openness and support yet behaving inappropriately behind closed doors with unprofessional and quite frankly vicious comments about members of staff and a dangerous “get it done” attitude with a blind eye turned to how that task may be completed and no questions asked in the aftermath. This attitude is promoted throughout the management team and is passed down to staff at all levels with formidable pressure. Another key issue is micromanagement another issue I believe is passed down from the top, nobody is trusted to do their work and it’s almost a fight to do the job you’ve been hired for. There’s a reason so many people are leaving the company and there’s a reason that there are so many vacant positions, people have to choose their sanity. From what I can see most of the Head Office teams are also haemorrhaging people even the HR team have new faces every time you walk in, that’s a statement right there. The fear culture I’ve witnessed and the severely negative impact on my team members’ wellbeing and mental health has opened my eyes to something i didn’t know still existed in workplaces and is something I’ve never witnessed anywhere else in this industry. It is not acceptable to have staff members breaking down sobbing, not eating, not sleeping, working everyday of the week and being harassed by phone and email.

Thank you for you well considered feedback and we are sorry that your overall experience was not positive. We appreciate that good things can only be achieved through a great vision and hard work and we do have some fantastic people here. I can assure you that we do not use our CCTV as a means to keep track on people, rather to keep an eye on our premises. We have been growing steadily over the past year, so are currently looking at how our teams are structured and how work is coordinated. Culture is also very important to us, and we’re sorry you found it negative. We will soon be gathering colleague feedback to get a view of how everyone feels. We must highlight that we do not tolerate bullying, so would urge you, or any existing colleagues, to raise concerns with the HR team, or line manager. If you would like to discuss your employment experience in more detail, please let us know - hr@remit.co.uk

Pros

None, unless you kiss the CEO's rear and never question or have an opinion of you're own.

Cons

Sue rules the roost, she enjoys having a drink at the company conference. the company is doomed as they can not and will not listen to anyone. if you do not agree with them you will be out the door. they have destroyed departments like Digital!
