Pros
Paycheck and halfway decent benefits.
Cons
This was the worst xompant I've ever worked for. From the start I saw employees treated terribly. There were two layoffs in the last year, both of which were strongly driven by favoritism and bias. Many if these roles that were supposedly eliminated were posted seceral months later. Completely illegal. They also started requiring anyone who lived within 50 miles of an office to return to the office regardless of the fact that many were hired as remote, some didn't have a car, or their commute would be 2 hours each way. They didn't care. Come into the office or lose your job. During all this the company was almost sold, and the last layoff was announced in February but no one was notified until June. That's 4 months of worry hanging over employees heads. Then there's the so called leadership team. What a joke. There are many in high level roles there that treat their teams and their co-workers like total garbage, and despite the numerous complaints about these managers nothing is done about it. The company is owned by News Corp, who almost sold Realtor.com, but the deal fell through. Then the CEO steps down suddenly and is replaced by someone from News Corp, which tells me they are just cleaning things up there until they get the chance to sell again. If you work there still, find something else quickly, and if you're considering working there, run. This is an incredibly toxic, drama filled company, with leaders that not only do nothing to stop this behavior, but are some of the top contributors.
