Pros
Good wage, but they seem to have changed the pay bracket immediately after hiring.
Cons
Toxic culture, they appoint “mental health first aiders” which raises the question as to why those should even be needed in a work place unless there’s a recurring problem. Started my role off being praised at every turn, doted on, looked after, was told the company is “well being focussed” and I “would never be given something to do that I couldn’t handle”. Despite this, absolutely no training was given until about 5 weeks into the role when I was already thrown into it. When I then spoke out and said I didn’t know what to do, attitudes shifted, I was called disloyal and it was insinuated that I had lied about being able to “learn on the job” despite never actually being given training to do my job, both on the job and otherwise. Spoke with HR at which point things only became considerably worse for me, presumably because I challenged the behaviour rather than sitting back and allowing it to happen. Told it’s a “well being focussed employer”, yet have to log every 15 minutes of your day onto a system that is routinely monitored and questioned. Absolutely no trust between management and staff. Was told by HR my case wasn’t the first, yet they seem completely unwilling to change/learn from mistakes. After leaving they then held a presentation about negativity aimed at me, really petty, really childish, felt like being back at school not in a place of employment.
