Pros

There are people in Relex who want to develop themselves and build something. Some developers are lucky to be able to create due to reasonable management. Salaries vary. Some are complaining about foreign workers having lower salaries, but I had what I find satisfying for myself (even thought I’ve been told that my salary is below the range for my position). If you want to study or learn technology, Relex due to widespread lay back management style is a place to certify without limits. If you are looking for a quiet bay to heal your wounds or have a “work life balance” :) - Relex is a place to go. Besides few enthusiasts, the overall passiveness will help you to stay relaxed.

Cons

Some say you can’t enter the same river twice. Right, when it’s river. Relex is not a river, more like a stale lake. No, a bog. A bog where fresh ideas and passion often are not appreciated. You would say I haven’t tried enough. I tried to tell about the problems and offer solutions. It didn’t work. When you enter Relex they tell you about their values, a lot. Like in every second meeting. When it comes to really live according to their values, everything else takes the precedence. You will experience hatred, extreme moodiness, disrespect to experience, pitiful personal interests, tough laziness, passive aggressiveness, a lot of ignorance. When you rise your voice against even some of that they will blame you in creating an unsafe environment. You will not hear it on many prior 1-on-1s, HR will never contact you. No proof or particular case will be provided on your last “execution” meeting, just a yesterday’s opinion of a couple of former opponents will be called “team’s opinion” and that’s it. You are gone. Right after you wrote a honest review to your manager on a company’s review platform. HR will not try to resolve anything, or understand, you will see them once and they will be firmly on blaming management’s side. I haven’t seen anything like this in my rather long career.

Pros

Young working culture if you are into a startup type of culture. Location is in Midtown if you like that area. Company is small and they really need people so if you ask for things you will likely to get it. The software they sell is actually quite impressive, you will be working with software that you actually like supporting.

Cons

Flexible hours really mean they want you to work all day long. There are basically no managers with any experience, it’s blind leading blind. If you have any previous working experience, you can expect to not learn anything from working here. There are no official training programs. This is not a professional working environment. Everyone working there is basically straight out of college and their mannerisms definitely reflect that. Benefits are terrible, the pay is also not competitive.

Thank you for your feedback. As with many rapidly growing companies, we acknowledge that we may not have always had the necessary processes and trainings in place. However, developing a dedicated team to build a more systematic training system and creating the opportunity for coaching and mentoring at every level of the organization is a top priority and something that is already well underway. We have recruited and onboarded top talent at all levels of the organization to focus not only on growing the business, but growing, developing and supporting our teams as well. We not only appreciate your feedback but encourage you to contact us so that we can understand your experiences better. The wellbeing of our employees is our main concern, so we sincerely want to get more insight from you so we can become a better employer.

Pros

Good benefits, potential learning of new technologies, strong customers in the US market and as well global presence

Cons

In my 14 years of IT experience, this is one of the worst companies that I worked for, it had a poor management with no or zero managerial experience that doesn’t know how to value the employees. I had 3 Managers in 6 months stint and it was not easy to establish my rapport with them right away. Work-life balance cannot be expected here, I spent almost 15-17 hours a day and sometime on production support with no appreciations and zero encouragement. I am extremely happy and feeling no pressure after coming out from Relex.

Thanks for taking the time to provide some feedback on your experience with us. I am so sorry to hear it was such a negative experience. Doubling in size in a year can be really tough on organizational changes and now with a Performance management tool in place it has made it much easier to follow successes for an employee through different teams to avoid situations that you experienced. Work-life balance is something RELEX is prioritizing during this high growth period. We are hiring quite heavily so that providing top notch service to our customers does not fall on one individual. It is experiences such as yours that have helped us pin point where we need to focus as a rapidly growing company.
