Pros

The company culture had been so amazing. There was an era of learning, training, teamwork, and optimism. Our customers loved us and we provided a level of Customer Support and skill that was unlike any of our competition.

Cons

Over the past 10 years the company gave up on training and developing existing talent. The company was sold and the entire Support and maintenance experts where outsourced. It is QAD in name only and may not have a future under the current management group.

Thank you for your service of over 20 years. I am very sorry to hear your role was impacted with our restructuring. We are restructuring to ultimately improve QAD and it has meant making some tough decisions and we do not take lightly the negative impact this has had on individuals. I wish you the very best in your next career move. Thank you.

Pros

Good opportunities to learn and gain knowledge. Other teams than india services seem to have satisfied employees.

Cons

No work life balance at all. Life becomes hell due to overload of work. Highly underresourced projects. Qad relies too much on its managers/business heads. Qad seems to be propagating great values and ethics down the hirearchy . But, there is no process control if any of managers are humiliating the employees. Examples are as follows. 1) People are made to work on weekend s for months in a stretch without any compensation. Nobody else looks at the weekend times entered in time sheet and if compensation is given or not. 2) Boss thereatens the employees unethically and makes them compromise important personal occassions even like honeymoon or family member's death in order to make the employee work all the times. 3) No other people in Qad would question this filthy manager. Not even the heavy attrition is questioned by HR or Sr VPs who are aware of the facts. 4) Employees in the organization are pushed to mental and physical limits . They are Made to work for 13 hours a day with no overtime. 5) No compensation for traveling and personal time spent on the same.

Pros

The old QAD (pre-2022 and sale to Thoma Bravo) was amazing and built on foundations of employee care and development and everyone worked to ensure customers succeeded. (but that all changed)

Cons

It's a sinking ship. Don't let the marketing hype fool you. The leadership has had near total turnover in the last 2.5 years. If the company hits the PE owners' EBITDA target (though unlikely anytime soon) - you'll see another exodus as many of the execs and senior leaders cash in as they've been incentivized with 'shares' based on hitting aggressive profitability targets to the point the PE owners get their ROI and sell the company off. Massive numbers of highly talented people have been laid off to cut costs (especially in the US), Operations were closed in multiple countries. Layoffs continue like clockwork each quarter-end. QAD used to be very good at many things but has become an expert at letting people go. In reality this is exactly the path communicated when QAD sold off to private equity. It's sad and no longer the company so many employees and customers knew.

Thank you for your incredible 20 years of service with QAD. I’m truly sorry to hear that your experience towards the end wasn’t as positive as we would have hoped. Since merging with Thoma Bravo, a leading private equity firm in technology, we’ve faced some challenges, including restructuring and reductions in certain areas. However, this partnership has also opened doors to exciting new investments in product development, acquisitions, and overall growth for QAD. Your dedication has been a crucial part of our journey, and we’re excited about the future and the opportunities it will bring. We wish you much success in your future endeavors.
