Pros

I've been working at Procentia as a Consultant ( read software developer) for about 2 years now. The company has grown quite a bit since I've started working here and it's been great seeing the progression. Some key points: 1. Small company where your contributions show real results. 2. Great management, awesome coworkers, and really laid back atmosphere. 3. Management is really open to advice and ideas and has an open door policy in regards to everything. They really value the input of their employees. 4. Flexible schedules and good work/life balance. 5. Regular company outings.

Cons

Watch out for Jon, he'll cover your desk in post-its and show 0 remorse.

Pros

- The technology and methodology is old, but there's a lot of effort going into modernization and process reviews to make it more current. - Work life balance is great, frequent open conversations with employees on a company and team level to ensure everyone is happy. A return to office (2 days a week) was tested and changed, in favour of once a month mandatory with your team but discretionary otherwise. - Remote working, great office if you're local. - Pay is average for Bristol, great if you work from home and commute in for a day once a month. - The people are lovely and helpful, I haven't met a single person I've not enjoyed interacting with since working here. - If you're on the right team, the opportunity to take on old projects and learn new skills bringing them into the current era of technology provides a lot of room for growth and upskilling.

Cons

The only con is the old attitude of get it working now, not working right. There's a slight overhanging pressure to get things out the door and move on, even though you can see it may not be the correct way to do it long term. This is improving, the attitude towards testing and standardization has greatly improved since I joined over 2 years ago.
