Pros

There were many great people at Praedicat, and some still remain. The idea is theoretically a good one, and in the beginning at least, I felt I was contributing to something that would make the world greener, safer and healthier.

Cons

At this point, virtually all of the top talent is gone. Executive management is learning some harsh lessons and I don't know how they can succeed when they continue to pivot every six months and pin the companies hopes on the next big hire. The other reviews rightly point out the rampant favoritism. These employees hit the sweet spot of caressing an academics ego while alienating most of the other "unimportant" coworkers. Drama is a daily occurrence, and Praedicat boasts an all star crier/screamer/drama queen who has been promoted to their level of incompetence. Politics reign, and reason has been lost.

Pros

great work colleagues. good environment, Tuesday Salad, Thursday lunch.

Cons

the most disorganized software team. too laid back and relax environment. CTO got fired. the software development team leaders don't have enough knowledge and experience for their title. spaghetti and old code. No opportunity to learn new technologies. their main system is on asp.net web form and it has been developed in 2015. They call themselves a software company where they don't have QA or BA. NO SDLC,

Regarding your advice to management: At the time you provided your review, Praedicat had already engaged an executive recruiter to assist us with the CTO search. We recognize and appreciate how important it is to bring on a CTO who understands our team, the problems we are trying to tackle and the challenges our technology organization faces.

Had potential, but fizzled out hard

Pros

Great vision. Small company with plenty of nice people.

Cons

1. Plenty of layoffs and departure of A+ employees recently: Morale is a thing of the past. Everyone is either wondering if they're next to get laid off, or if the company can continue to function after the next A+ employee leaves. 2. No cash bonus in recent years: Despite what the offer letter says about a bonus target, there is none to be received. Bonuses are tied to whether or not the company meets certain goals, and these goals have not been met in recent years. Which brings us to the next point... 3. Consistently fails to meet goals: This is probably because management is constantly changing product strategies without fully understanding why the previous one didn't work as expected, and without having a concrete plan for how this new tack will actually make things happen. Work gets done, but somehow a bunch of it just never makes it into product.
