Pros

Some really amazing people work here and there are great benefits.

Cons

The people who succeed here are men who can join the KC boys club or people who throw away all morals/ethics to pander to them. The politicking is intense and restricts any real progress from happening. The company operates like a fraternity and women (and the men who support them) are not respected, promoted or acknowledged for their work. It’s a bizarre work environment built on outdated mentalities that ultimately push out critical thinkers or genuinely creative people.

Pros

Interesting Projects Nice office amenities Great healthcare benefits

Cons

Well known that they overwork their employees, specially marketing coordinators, graphic designers and entry level employees. Late nights and weekend work is no stranger to anyone making work-life balance nearly impossible. The Principal architects I worked with, for the most part, are rude and disrespectful. They are not market leaders, they use other people’s work to claim their leadership status and never give credit where it is due. Managers look miserable and everyone seems to bond over being exhausted, like “at least we are all overworked together!” Internally HR sides with leadership. Zero time dedicated to training because everyone is always too busy to help. They need more staff but went through two separate layoffs during the pandemic which only increased many employee’s responsibilities when they were already drowning. Not much advancement opportunity long term.

Pros

I loved the culture of the company! They loved to work hard and play hard and everyone felt included. The social events were a blast. The projects were design forward, innovative, and really fun to work on! There was lots of variety so you could go from group to group if you wanted to try a different typology. They were very supportive of letting you try new software/technology or experiences. Best Benefits I've ever seen at a company! Everyone was very open and approachable and you could walk up to anyone and start a conversation or ask a question.

Cons

There was very little transparency of what was going on with the firm financially during Covid. They tried to pretend like everything was ok and then wham they laid off a ton of people without warning. They even let go of some people who had been there for 30+ years without even as much as a (Thank you for your dedication and service speech). This is definitely a boys club, so if you aren't a guy, or don't come in being liked by the guys it will be very difficult for you to move up. The salaries could be higher. They expect you to work nights and weekends on deadlines and buy you dinner but don't pay you overtime. Raises are minimal. Beware of overworking yourself without getting much recognition or pay.
