Pros

Long tradition General working condition and environment Work life balance

Cons

Became more and more American No meritocracy x2 Favoritism HR. unfriendliness borderline rude, tries to change line managers hiring decisions for personal reason, seems to care only about external recruitment. Like other reviews, I expect HR to coordinate better among themselves, respect employees more, treat everyone equally regardless of position and friendship. Even asking for basic paperwork felt like I was annoying them...

Pros

None to share as none positive

Cons

Bad habit from some managers to force you to work remotely when you’re sick. If you don’t work, you get blackmailed about the possibility to work remotely. For example, you have 13 days of potential work from home but if you are sick 7 days then you will only be allowed 5 days to work from home. This rule does not apply if you are on holidays !!! Even worst, when asked about what sickness would justify not working when sick at home, a manager responded only cancer would justify!!! They need to be reminded that working while being sick is illegal but Pictet doesn’t care. Should be reported to Inspection du Travail. The people who say that they care about the staff isn’t really true. Some managers should clearly be reminded laws and take management trainings!

Thank you for your feedback. We are glad to see that our partnership culture resonated with you. Flexible working is now available to all our employees, thanks to arrangements that include flexible hours, part-time, annualised part-time, unpaid leave and working from home. In addition, our UK employees benefit from an access to pension, private medical & travel, life, critical illness, and income protection insurance. Employees also have access to a range of flexible benefits which include dental and health screenings. Diversity and inclusion are a priority for the Group as expressed through several initiatives (Women Sponsoring Platform, parental leaves, emergency childcare services and staff trainings). These aim to develop a diverse community of talent and provide career opportunities to a broader demographic. Best regards,

Great benefits - including the BEST health benefits in the banking industry Great work-life balance Everyone is generally chill and nice towards each other Pay is competitive given the required work

Pros

Real career support, managers are trained to manage their teams well. The company is very prone to social interactions and growing communication internally. The culture is strong but if it's a match, you'll enjoy coming to work everyday. It's easy to move from one job to another internally, even if they're completely different. A lot of benefits, amazing food, kind and happy people. Great work/life balance, management is very attentive to each person's needs.

Cons

Career progression can be long, especially if you start young, you can't really expect to be managing a team before at least 10/15 years. But maybe this will change in the coming years.

So much good, and yet...

Pros

There is so much good about Pictet - it pays well (too well to be healthy in the long term), the people are mostly highly competent (with some incredibly flagrant and puzzling exceptions, often in the highest positions - how do some of them survive so long), and the working environment is mostly a very agreeable one, but...

Cons

Let's be honest, it's a golden cage ("une cage dorée"), and for most people it takes leaving to realize just how toxic and sterile a culture it really is. Most managers are too busy covering their backsides or competing with their own colleagues for resources (or the boss's attention) to pay any attention to developing their teams. And the meetings, the endless meetings... All of which is not to say that it's a bad place - just that it isn't nearly as special or different as it thinks it is. As you walk away, you can almost feel the smugness dropping away from you...

Pros

Decent size company with quite a few talented people in a number of different areas.

Cons

Not an easy place for female employees. Some managers more comfortable working with women than others and it is clearly shown by the ill treatment. Consult GCN before taking a job there.
