Pros
There is so much good about Pictet - it pays well (too well to be healthy in the long term), the people are mostly highly competent (with some incredibly flagrant and puzzling exceptions, often in the highest positions - how do some of them survive so long), and the working environment is mostly a very agreeable one, but...
Cons
Let's be honest, it's a golden cage ("une cage dorée"), and for most people it takes leaving to realize just how toxic and sterile a culture it really is. Most managers are too busy covering their backsides or competing with their own colleagues for resources (or the boss's attention) to pay any attention to developing their teams. And the meetings, the endless meetings... All of which is not to say that it's a bad place - just that it isn't nearly as special or different as it thinks it is. As you walk away, you can almost feel the smugness dropping away from you...
