      A turn of events

      Pros

      Great product that customers love with a stellar support team. Great roadmap ahead too!

      Cons

      There’s a huge “layoff” (maybe 30-50%) going on in the sales department now so morale has been extremely low. The people being let go are a mixed bag of low performers, high performers, Old timers and newish employees. The biggest issue is the lack of transparency and accountability on upper management’s part. It just goes to show how inexperienced and out of touch they are with their employees.

      Pros

      Founders have an amazing product sense, and this guides UX/Product/Eng towards building a powerful yet easy to use product. Energy and momentum at the company is great as of July 2017, we're growing amazingly fast and new hires are on-boarded effectively and net-positive shortly after joining.

      Cons

      The leadership makes decisions quickly. While I'm happy to switch to the top priority at a moment's notice, it does take some effort to keep adapting to the evolving strategy of a fast growing company.

      Pros

      The entire company moves incredibly fast, with almost no bureaucracy/red tape/or hierarchy to get in the way of substantial results. From the top down, the founders + management have a completely clear and aligned vision and has the entire company bought in on the ultimate strategy for how to get where we want to go as an organization. Periscope Data hires top talent, coaches well, and promotes from within based on performance + tenure. Everyone is stoked to come to work and hustle in order to achieve team goals. To recognize all of our efforts in closing out a record quarter, the entire company was given the day off to extend the holiday weekend coming up. Plus we have a stellar soccer team, and some of the best snacks out there.

      Cons

      We were operating out of a warehouse for far too long, but it only made us closer.
