Some good, some bad

Pros

Great communication and flexibility within the company. They are still building their platform and are very receptive to suggestions for improvement made by providers. The benefits are decent and the pay beats in person work in my area. They offered W-2 positions and benefits, are not affected if you work less than full-time hours based on the assignment that you are given.

Cons

Not a ton of support for providers who are new to the school environment. I have had a terrible experience with on boarding and getting assignments. Feel like I have fought tooth and nail to get a part-time schedule. I have communicated multiple times that I need full-time hours to support my family financially. After returning from maternity leave this year I was given a full-time assignment in a brand new state that I wasn’t familiar with. The school was already furious with the company because they had been given providers who didn’t do great work and left a big mess. I made a couple of small mistakes in my one month working with them and they decided to hire someone in person and I lost the assignment. Parallel did not support me at all, but use me as a scapegoat for the bad experience that the school had and for losing the contract. I am still digging myself out of this hole and not sure I will return next year your given all of the difficulty I have had with assignment assignments.

Pros

Working in HR at this company provides good exposure to core HR functions such as onboarding, payroll coordination, employee relations, and HR operations. The team is supportive, and collaboration across departments helps in understanding business needs better. Management is approachable, and there is scope to implement and improve HR processes.

Cons

Workload can increase during peak hiring or payroll cycles, and work-life balance can be challenging at times. Some processes can be further streamlined with better planning and automation.
