High expectations without compensation

Pros

Some really awesome people! Room for growth and learning, it is a small company so it is easy to make an impact

Cons

Everyone works from home which can be nice but it can also be isolating, there are very few social events so it is hard to get to know everyone. Some people can be aggressive, maybe because it is WFH so it isn't possible to speak face to face. They can also be critical of and even firing employees over small things. The compensation is way below market (as I am sure everyone can see already when applying) and they have the minimum for benefits. They require you to work from home but then don't offer to help with anything you would normally find in an office. They don't provide good tools to do your work. The laptops are not good quality and they try to save whenever possible on services and software.

Thank you for your feedback. As a primarily virtual and international company we have team members worldwide from a variety of cultures, all with different (levels of direct and in-direct) communication styles. Our international team distribution also means it is difficult to arrange social events that employees are actually able to attend and engage in. We have been working on increasing the number of ways employees can engage with each other (we encourage small group employee meet-ups whenever possible, try to have monthly online engagement sessions, and multiple company retreats ever year) and as the company continues to grow we anticipate the number of these meet-ups and engagements will also increase. We acknowledge that our monetary compensation isn’t the highest in the market but we feel that the salary, combined with the employment and career growth benefits we provide allows team members (who have shown the dedication and strong work-ethic) to grow their career in SaaS. As a small SaaS company we do try to find ways to save money but never in a way that would be detrimental to our operations or employee equipment distribution. The equipment we provide should always be of good quality, if for some reason a laptop isn’t functioning correctly or of good quality it is up to the employee to let their manager know so new equipment can be purchased and sent to them. To help facilitate communication between employees and managers we have started providing training to our managers and team leaders to ensure they are receptive to employees work and equipment needs. We feel this training will improve the overall management, communication, and leadership at OnceHub. We are glad to hear that enjoyed working with your colleagues and felt there was room for growth and continual learning at the company. Thank you again for providing your feedback.

Worse than even a startup company

Work from home and leave policy

Cons

- Ask for overtime without compensations - Lacks management - Hire and Fire rule - Go with the decisions of higher managers else you face the consequences. - Late salary crediting - Tons of interview rounds - No work processes. People work as per their conveniences - Go to HR for any complaints, you get nothing out of it

We apologize it has taken so long to respond to your review, we have been working to continually improve our company processes and procedures. It is unfortunate we didn’t meet your expectations in regards to how your complaint would or could be handled but we are glad you felt you could go to HR and that you enjoyed the work from home model and leave policy. To help address some of the issues you raised we are looking into our work policies, including scheduling and salary distribution. We have also begun providing training to our managers and feel this will help improve how managers communicate tasks and policies with each other and with employees. Pros

Intelligent team, A great product, Working from home (pants optional), many chances for advancement, Horizontal hierarchy - your opinion matters, Company retreats and meet--ups at various resorts and destinations, Interesting and diverse co-workers dispersed across 3 continents while maintaining a close, family type atmosphere. Did I mention pants are optional?

Sometimes we work long hours.
