Pros

Good oportunity for starting in the PM field for a medium-size company.

Cons

No holidays at all. Extremely low salaries. They employ people on poor countries in order to save money, and then ask them to lie about their physical location. Most of us worked night shifts to simulate living in Australia, which was never an issue for management for some reason, nor was it paid extra. Very rude environment, allowing Account Managers to insult Project Managers and translators freely. Extremely poor leadership and lack of vision. They offer insulting rates to translation profesionals and then wonder why they don't have good ones.

Pros

Some of the colleagues are very nice and helpful

Cons

Everything about working at ONCALL was horrific, from the incredibly low salary to the management who does not know your name and has no knowledge about the kind of work is carried out. Employees are often asked to carry out tasks that are outside of their job description ( translation PMs asked to translate) as everything is about saving money. Management is abusive, ignorant and has no care for the well-being of their employees. There is NO opportunity to have career progression, people are moved to different teams just to fill in the gaps even if they have no experience or knowledge of tasks that are given to them. Holidays are cumulative so it can be very hard to have enough days to take a long holiday, employees are often asked to work bank holidays even if it's not specified in the contract. There are no benefits, they do not pay maternity leave and often refuse to accept annual leave requests. I can confidently say ONCALL's management is horrific and will surely be the worst company I've ever worked for. Do yourself a favour and don't work here.
