Pros

- They have benefits not great but there is insurance(High deductible plan is strictly superior to the other one), 401k match(3%), unlimited PTO, LinkedIn learning is the professional/personal development provided - They were quick to react to the Covid situation and go to remote work - You are working for a company that actually saves lives and really matters

Cons

- Lots of turnover at all levels - Bonuses for management level and above nothing for rank and file employees - Many open positions that they seem to have a hard time filling across all functions and level: Dev, PM, QA, Management it is a mess - Seem to be overly concerned with Glassdoor reviews and directly ask employees to leave a good review after feeling them out making sure they are happy - Poor communication and direction on new changes - The culture is at a point of becoming a problem - Lots of overworked employees across departments with crunch work environment, but it isn't crunch when it is going on all the time - Some areas seem to have an issue with getting to use PTO as there aren't enough people to cover work -The company really wants to get everyone back into the office as soon as possible. With the changing landscape of Tech to be more remote friendly and the above issues could be the reasons we are having issues in getting quality candidates and why quality people are leaving.

Please speak to your direct manager. If you have and that hasn’t helped, reach out to someone else in a position to listen – your HR Business Partner, your next level of management. We don’t want any OnSolve employee having a negative experience without the opportunity to perhaps improve your experience. Thank you.

Pros

Literally no pros, unless you count the free t-shirt the sent me when I signed on with the wrong gender/sizing

Cons

Management does not value employees, at all, just profits. Management occasionally but openly make sexist/racist comments during meetings Unreal deadlines, everything needs to be done yesterday Management unable to decide what needs to be prioritized. Constant "fires" prevent devs from getting actual work done, which leads to missed commitments, which leads to management reprimanding everyone. CTO terminated an entire branch with legacy/tribal knowledge of a product that was being updated because he wanted to save money. He proceeded to layoff all onshore devs at a later date to hire overseas devs at reduced pay. Constant war room meetings that would often last 6 hours. These were mandatory once someone requested your presence, even if you were not needed for the issue. Tech leads unable to do their job because people would constantly schedule them for meetings all day every day.

Hello - Since you indicate you’re a current employee, we encourage you to reach out to your HR Business Partner to directly process those issues that are frustrating for you. In an anonymous Glassdoor review, it is harder to clarify and rectify issues. Sexist or racist comments are never acceptable here – not even “occasionally”. Please report that type of incident (to management, to HR, or via our 800 ethics hotline) so we can formally investigate and handle it. We hope that our recently introduced ‘Quiet Fridays’ may begin to alleviate some of the stress caused by back-to-back meetings. Thank you.
