Pros

- Pays above market rate - Decent benefits - Central office location

Cons

- Unfair terminations towards Singaporeans - Discrimination towards Singaporeans and non-Chinese foreigners - Mandatory to be Chinese:- you don’t speak / type in Chinese, you are gone - Prioritise hiring of PRCs - Most toxic culture! No one dares to speak up, worried of being fired - Always finding one to be a scapegoat, finger pointing system - Engineering team always fighting with other squads and claiming credits when credit is not due - No empowerment and trust, information don’t get shared to everyone except selective chinese leaders - Workplace bullying and scolding of employees openly - Prepare for daily morning and evening meetings with reports to account for daily work - No work life balance, be prepared to be present for Chinese meetings even on weekends and public holidays - If need to apply leave more than 3 days, team leader and team leader’s leader would need to approve

Pros

- good perks for staff, daily food allowance, learning and development - OKX becoming more famous brand with more marketing this year - seems like company has a lot of money, one of the few crypto shops still hiring this year

Cons

- total mainland Chinese culture, no international culture, Chinese management style, drink a lot and speak mandarin (many people cannot speak proper English) - internal conflicts and competition is encouraged, lots of politics and infighting, always restructuring teams - worst than 9-9-6, work 24-7, long hours and all time zones - not honest during recruitment process, don’t believe what they say, better ask your real friends on the inside

Pros

Good salary and benefits. Office location (MBFC) in Singapore.

Cons

- Top down culture, very Chinese (If you don’t speak / understand Chinese don’t join, regardless of what HR or management says about moving to English, it doesn’t happen overnight. You won’t get good projects / will struggle as all documents and meetings are usually carried out in Chinese. Lark translation is insufficient) - Bell curve grading is used here, opaque performance review and promotion schemes - Team structures are unclear, not being able to find out who works on which vertical/ area - Very unprofessional and inexperienced management (c suite, mid level managers and HR) - Restructuring occurs very often resulting in layoffs due to bad planning Read Okcoin’s reviews as well for a better understanding of the situation in Okx sister company - very telling of the entire management. Think twice before joining, don’t get fooled by the fancy endorsements.
