Pros

Different work venues. If you have a good leader, you will have more support but it's very rare to find good leaders nowadays

Cons

Long hours, usu have to work on the weekends for certain teams. When we end, there is still a lot of paper work to clear up on your own time. Pls nego properly before you come in and have clear understanding before you join. Confess that Sales is not perfect (yes some of our sales staff are slacking), but it takes 2 hands to clap. Question needs to be asked, why are so many of us STILL not motivated despite what you may think, when we have been doing fairly well in 2019-2021. Our marketing department is a joke (literally) – cos they joke and talk loudly like nobody’s business all the time. It is still okay to talk and joke if delivering leads, gd events etc but clearly they have underperformed and pushed the blame to the other departments like Sales and Product. Yet, they are defensive and fail to see their own shortcomings. There were constant complaints by Sales, Product about the lengthy and demanding processes to get the right and timely information online. A good programme can take more than 3 months to go up the website due to unnecessary red tap implemented by them. Imagine the loss to the company. Sometimes it feels as if these processes are put in place so that they can slow down the work flows. No sense of urgency and pride at work. And there is very little real leadership to solve problem, just pushed around and pretend it is solved until it explodes and Sales gets blamed again. They just do as told, just like the middleman. There is no initiative or strategic inputs as prof marketers do. Just very operational. Similarly, senior management have little understanding of the education sector, so a lot is based on theory and ‘transferrable’ knowledge from Insurance/banking sector. Worst of all, some snr staff and management have little respect for more junior staff. Personal attacks and bullying take place over emails. All you need to do is to have lunch with the CEO and all will be forgiven! Worse of all, he intends to make the current Chief Marketing Officer to the new company number 2. How is marketing helping sales? How is lxp product delivering numbers? It’s a joke. An individual cannot perform on both roles, does not earn the respect of his peers and staff, personal attacks, and usually leaves around 4-5pm everyday when he is in etc – and he is considered for promotion? If this is not cronyism, I don’t know what is.

Pros

Basically, you can do a little or basically do nothing, yet get a big bonus

Cons

1. CEO doesn't really care about the growth of the company, as long as his job is well protected. Management Team is trying to do as minimal as possible, but as long as be "seen" by the Group that they have putting in efforts. 2. Salary too high and unjustifiable vs the revenue of the company. By carrying a title of "NTUC", the Management doesn't worry about their job stability, and continue enjoy high salary. 3. Using "contribution to society" as an excuse of low revenue of company 4. Management focus on pleasing the NTUC Group rather than the growth of the company 5. Most Management team MIA during office hours, golfing and coffee 6. Find excuse to explain to Board, instead of finding solution to generate revenue

Pros

NTUC Branding, Annual leave, Flexi Benefits Commission, Leads

Cons

Suddenly so many 5 stars reviews?????? The organisation should reflect on the areas to improve rather than writing fake reviews to cover up. Management does not value workers who are truly capable, has other motives for himself. Some managers lack basic english literacy and skills yet they are selling courses and encouraging others to upskill. Politics are created by 1 or 2 BM and management. Not able to keep up with the trends and innovation, use old strategies repeatedly until Covid19 came and we now have to cope with the results of their inabilities and also handle complaints from public. Another foreign talent to be next on promotion list, previously China, next may be Malaysian? Expected to work after midnight and not being appreciated. No worklife balance. System and processes not very efficient.
