      Seems better than it actually is

      Pros

      Frequent office outings/happy hours, yearly company offsites, good work/life balance, great coworkers

      Cons

      Salary well below market, role expectations are not communicated, minimal career advancement opportunities, learning new skills is rarely encouraged or fostered, certain teams are clearly favored and invested in over others, success is measured based on singular number that doesn't represent entirety of work done, feedback is listened to but changes aren't made based on it, social culture often revolves around heavy alcohol use

      Pros

      The product solves real problems in the market. People are generally helpful and open.

      Cons

      Compensation is ~30% below market and leadership does not have the required competence to manage a company this size.

      Fun people but poor compensation

      Pros

      Great people and fun culture. Great place to learn and make mistakes but no possibilities to grow.

      Cons

      Not enough resources. When a person leaves, quite often, a new person is not hired for replacement. Everything is about saving costs. Junior people are given growth opportunities to step into a team lead positions. These people do not always have te competence to succeed in their role. Management values cost more than skills or experience. Salary, job title and responsibilities are not aligned. People get more responsibilities without proper salary or title change. A lot of discrepancies between people in similar roles.
