Pros

Fellow coaches and tutors were friendly and took their work seriously.

Cons

1. Company lacks integrity. Management frequently requested staff to teach subjects they had no experience in (e.g. asked a science major to teach economics because they failed to hire a qualified tutor). At the same time they took payments for expensive prepaid annual packages and promised parents that lessons would be delivered by experienced staff. In reality a lot of the tutors were undergraduate or master students on part-time independent contractor basis who were not always free to give lessons, and would only be with this company for a short time. As employees, we were meant to hide this situation from parents (often successfully), but this didn’t sit well with me. 2. Some very harsh terms in the employment contracts regarding notice period, non-competitive clauses, and potential deductions to monthly salary (especially if you don’t have much experience in negotiating your employment offer). 3. No training provided to new freshly graduated employees. Expected to know everything including subjects I had never studied before at any level, and was left to fend for myself when I was requested to teach such subjects at a moment’s notice.

Pros

There is no pro for this company

Cons

the lady CEO has no integraty, treating Parents and Students as her money tree. Keep covering up with Part-time college students while charging premiums. With the same price, parents can easily hire trained teacher to help their kids. This is a shame of Education industry, even China company have more integraty.
