Pros

While on the surface, it would be exciting to work on fully featured All-Flash array -- it wasn't (see below).

Cons

1. There were large gaps between what was advertised on the data sheet and what was in the product 2. Management promised many things it could not deliver and then fired people for not performing 3. Many of the customers on the reference list were listed because the got a free iSCSI SW driver many years ago from Nimbus. Very misleading! FWIW, take a look on LinkedIn. The number of former employees far outweigh the number of current ones. Most have a tenure of less than a year. What does that tell you?

Pros

So many lessons learned from my time at Nimbus Data Systems… As painful as every minute seemed at the time, this position gave me a springboard to work for a real flash company, and to appreciate the value of working for a company where people aren't perfect, but generally are good and honest, where products aren't perfect but as a rule are better than the company claims, and where you don't lie in bed at night worrying about destroying your personal credibility with customers you have worked years to build the trust of.

Cons

Who in this world enjoys messing with peoples lives and livelihoods the way Nimbus "leadership" has? Both are lower life forms than prokaryotes and should be institutionalized. I thought I'd seen it all while I worked there -- dishonesty, unscrupulous behavior, a complete lack of moral compass. But since I've left I've seen things I never imagined…. Creating fake people and LinkedIn profiles in order to make it look like they have employees and ditto for Glassdoor reviews - this only serves to make a mockery of two very good companies. Using former employees personal information to attempt to retrieve and use their personal passwords to access private contacts and communication, what kind of people do this?

Pros

*Enjoyed working with smart, driven, caring people (even in the face of extreme adversity & conflict) *Was one of 4 (out of 30+) reps that actually closed something during my tenure *The day our Director quit and told "Executive Leadership" to shove it!! (Best resignation ever!!)

Cons

What hasn't been said already.... *Misleading product data sheets *EVERYTHING is embellished (customers, speeds&feeds, career dev, stock options, path to IPO, size of company, etc). *Working with an unethical CEO *Inability to retain employees of any background (entry level sales, mid-level mgmt, Directors/VPs....everyone quit in less than 9 mos due to all of the above and previously mentioned reasons).
