Pros

If you have a strong ability to behave unethically, do not work, tout your previously fictitious accomplishments, and have a tendency to throw others under the bus, and and take credit for other's successes you will fit right in. If you do nothing proactively, have two faces, lack complete understanding of fitness, love Drama, gossip, cliques, backstabbing, or look at employees as pawns in a master plan that lacks actual planning, i suggest you apply to the corporate office. For everyone else you can learn a lot, if you simply follow upper management's example, and do the opposite it will translate to a real skill set in the world of health and fitness. Also any experience beyond here will seem extremely rewarding.

Cons

If you work hard, do your job, outperform others, like give credit to a team, work together, respect others, treat others fairly, want to make improvements, know how to make improvements, Know what a team means. (common goals, not just a catch phrase that means coworkers), have integrity, YOU WILL FEEL SADNESS AT THE END OF THE DAY.

Pros

Work here if you're friends with the right people. Interesting concept for fitness. Traditional business model with traditional hierarchy, hard working, long term cleaners and downtown locations.

Cons

Minimum wage for 90% of employees with poor benefit package. Lots of turn over and stress/scapegoat put on the bottom workers. Management is fearful and the best people leave. Impossible standards, hours and expectations for minimum wagers in Manhattan. False sense of family friendly staff value and lack of engagement between clubs and position levels. Perks are given to certain employees and not others, in general, employees are disengaged by the constant blame and gossip about others. Leadership is quick to make rash decisions without considering the people that support their salaries at the bottom line. Lack of appreciation for employees who work long hours and lacks comparable representation of clubs in upper ranks.
