Pros

- Benefits comparable to most companies in the 21st century (Nothing Special)

Cons

- Leadership doesn't want to automate processes because they're stuck in the 1990s. This is a result of the CEO's lack of experience in providing IT service management. Entitled and immature this man doesn't accept criticism and I foresee this review is being read and will be commented on by some poor schmuck for who I pity. GET OUT WHILE YOU CAN! - MyCC doesn't communicate with employees beyond delivering news about the latest employee layoffs and how the company will be moving towards the "future," such plans are never revealed to their current employees. (Note: 2 major layoffs in the last year 2021-2022 1st layoff over 100 employees, 2nd layoff over 50 employees.) - Nepotism runs rampant in this "company", Unless you're family or really drinking the company Kool-Aid, you'll NOT be promoted, Mark My Words! - The ITSA program is overrated and outdated most students can go to Professor Messer and receive better training for free. saving them $20k. (excluding braindumps since those are illegal and I don't condone them) - Along with (CiberWarriors) and (CibrReady) Sister companies of MyCC also owned by the Galati family are all managed like a parody of the U.S.S.R. Except that this man forces you to hear him pray while he drenches himself as a "Godly Man" I wouldn't trust him with my educational aspirations.

MyComputerCareer Response
4y
MyComputerCareer has always put the student first by investing heavily in the personnel needed to give students a “high-touch” experience that promotes success in, and out of, the classroom. These folks include full-time lead instructors, mentor and flex instructors, success coordinators, career services specialists and even professional mental health counselors–all at no additional cost to students. The point about communications within the organization is well-taken. The decentralization of a remote workforce as experienced in the last couple of years has definitely added to our communications challenges. In this, we are not alone. MyComputerCareer leadership is responding by amplifying company-wide comms in a number of ways. Regarding your comments on the program, we encourage everybody to explore learning models that work best for them, and in many cases self learning might be the perfect fit. Our experience, however, has shown that most students, particularly those with little or no industry knowledge or education, show more success in a structured learning environment with their peers and a full support system.

Pros

i have made really good life long friends here. The pay is somewhat competitive

Cons

work-life balance is a joke. They claim to "promote from within" but only if you are related to the family who runs the place or are friends with his children. They keep under performing staff way too long and lose great employees with lack of professionalism. Huffing and puffing and rolling your eyes at employees any time they have a question is not great management. Management is manipulative, they will tell you what you want to hear (promotion, raise ect) to get what they want from you (work outside of your normal hours or your duties) and then not follow through on their part. I wish I could say it was just one experience that left such a bad taste in my mouth for this place, but it has been instance after instance.

Pros

Not 1 pro about this place.

Cons

The raleigh campus is one of the most disrespectful places ive ever seen. The managment there and owners DO NOT KNOW HOW TO TREAT PEOPLE. So many complaints on the same people and nothings done, except the people who have legitimate reason of concern, are punished and written up. IF SOMETHINGS NOT DONE SOON, THE LABOR BOARD AND ALL OF MCC AFILIATES WILL KNOW THE REAL COMPANY THEY DEAL WITH. SICK OF IT!!!
