      What to truely consider.

      Pros

      The idea behind the product is solid and the people working to create, maintain, and support the product are amazing. Your feedback on the product is valued and appreciated.

      Cons

      There is no support for continuing education and benefits are not going to be forthcoming and what is given is minimal. There is little to no ability to make this company a career choice if you are looking for a secure and fair income as a programmer. The heads of departments do not have run of their departments and are not able to make choices that are needed for their varying departments. Instead, the CEO micromanages everything to their disadvantage.

      Pros

      - cool technology - great place to learn iot - they'll hire anyone.

      Cons

      - low pay - no fun at this tech company. work/life balance is not great here. - no flexibility. attendance taken - even at work parties. if you are late, family emergency, it will be taken out of your PTO. - work culture is terrible. No socializing on work hours. work like robots from 8am-5pm - CEO micro-manages every dept. Makes up so many rules to feel in control.

      Management mentality is stuck in startup mode

      Pros

      For me, work is rarely the same and varies enough from day-to-day to keep me happy. My direct manager is great and is very knowledgeable on the topics I bring to him. I can rely on him to help him when I get stuck.

      Cons

      Monnit has great potential to be huge, but doesn't know how to get there. They have a high turn over rate due to low pay and frustrating managers. The company makes good money, but continues to low ball employees with an excuse of being a startup, even though they have been around more than 10 years and make Millions in profits. During COVID19 we were not allow to work remotely even though we easily could. Management loves to watch over the employees and constantly monitor if you are working. No trust.
