Pros

Pay and benefits are decent.

Cons

You work your butt off for a place that when you truly need management to intervene, they simply don’t care. They said early in the year that they would turn a new leaf and treat everyone with empathy and care. That was a flat out lie. New year, same rut of accepting toxic individuals for what they are. Management may have listened but they didn’t actually hear you. The firm culture will never change no matter how many outings you do.

Pros

Flexible schedule offered to fit your needs. Benefits are paid in full for decent insurance if you don’t constantly need medical attention. Salary is somewhat reasonable. Potential to gain a lot of experience because so much is expected of you. The partners have so much potential to do better.

Cons

The office is a complete mess. It is a very dysfunctional firm ran by dysfunctional partners. Someone mentioned “hostile/ toxic work environment and extreme gaslighting”… Truer words about this firm were never spoke and it is awful. Almost every single team member on the firm website is no longer employed there. The firm is unable to get a grip on their good employees and does not value the good people. They have lost so many good ones. Look and ask around, almost nobody has been there more than 2 years with the exception of a couple of administrative employees/ pre-suit assistant that does not deal with the litigation and a longtime paralegal and attorney that have special treatment. Longevity of employees is always a red flag. High turnover is an understatement and because of the turnover, the attorneys and paralegals suffer. The turnover is just sad to see and I believe the partners somewhat enjoy it. Unprofessional work ethic and environment. No proper training or leadership for Associates or Paralegals. A lot is expected of both of these positions because you are considered salary so be prepared to be overworked and under appreciated. Paralegals have a very uncomfortable office work setting to properly work with no option to work from home or in a quiet personal office space because you have at least 5 people sitting 2 feet away from each other talking over each other. This setup is great if you are very new in the field and want to pick up on experience since there is no proper training or leadership however, if you have experience it is overwhelming and a constant distraction. Unless you are desperate, you can do better and find a better law firm to work at.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience at our firm. We take all feedback seriously, as it helps us identify areas for improvement. High employee turnover has been an issue we are actively working to address. We are implementing new policies around work-life balance, training, and office culture to create a more positive environment. It's important to clarify that we do value longevity as evidenced by our comprehensive benefits package and continuous investment in employee development. However, our foremost concern is fostering a positive firm culture. We value ourselves in hiring the right people, not just the right resumes, and as such, have indeed promoted exceptional employees. We have implemented formal policies, along with training sessions, to ensure a clear understanding of our expectations. Admittedly, there have been growing pains, but we continue to actively address this issue and ensure that the firm is always putting its best foot forward. Thank you again for your input as it helps us in our ongoing efforts to create a more positive and productive workplace that benefits employees and clients alike.

Pros

Great benefits. Flexible schedule. Friendly environment.

Cons

No training whatsoever. They have you shadow a person who doesn’t even explain what they’re doing unless you ask questions. Make sure you come with experience in first party if not don’t bother because they don’t train. They don’t go over the cases your assigned to. On your third day there, they will make you sit alone and figure it out on your own. The case manager “supervisor” does not let the other case managers help you if you ask a question and does not manage the department correctly. Even if you know your fit for the job, this place does not make it comforting to work there because of how much they lack in training and helping. Very unorganized firm overall.
