Pros

None that I can see

Cons

Salary is way below industry standards. Employees are over stressed always. Must work on Saturdays and some time Sundays as well. No work life balance what so ever.

Pros

- Company had an exponential growth.nearly doubled last year - Lot of career opportunities due to growth - Founders are good. they are capable of growing the business and expanding business in to multiple countries - Good on-site opportunities. this is for some projects though, not applicable to all projects - Salaries are always paid on-time, or even earlier when there are holidays. Salaries are good compared to average in the SL IT industry, but not exceptional or very high

Cons

About an year and half ago this had been a great emerging company. I got lot of good recommendations about the company from people that I knew. they weren't lying. company had a good culture and had lot of career opportunities. But sadly that culture is deteriorating and a new political culture is emerging. Most of the concerns are related to failures in middle-tier management, recently introduced process and lack of attention about the concerns of lower-tier employees Most of the people in middle-tier management of delivery, technical, QA and BA practices are not capable of performing the duty they have to do. Lot of them assume they're there to protect the process and find out faults in lower-tier employees. Regularly in project meetings middle-tier management will try to show off themselves. If not, they'll some how find a fault in one of the team members and talk about that through out the meeting. very rarely they will guide, give a positive feedback or suggest a solution to a problem. Company recently introduced a process. Even though it was said that process is for safeguarding employees, that isn't what really happened. What it had eventually did was introducing lot of additional work therefore increasing the burden of employees PMs don't bother to support or protect the team, they are only worried about their excel sheets that they have to fill for process. most of that process work will have to be done by team and tech leads. there are lot of meetings that introduced by the process, sometimes have to spend hours for meetings. At the end team will have to work late nights or work from home after hours due to this additional burden. Yet somehow delivery management will conclude that team had missed some small thing in the process and that will get highlighted Lot of PMs and BAs aren't fit for the job. Some of them are there purely because they can speak English better. However they are protected by their practice heads. if some thing goes wrong because of a BA or PM couldn't do their job properly, middle management will still find out that problem was because of the Dev and QA. So dev and qa will have to take the blame and put extra effort to fix those From tech side this happened to be a good tech and R&D company earlier. In my initial days, during a townhall meeting CTO talked about building apps using machine learning and did a demo. There were mentions about trying out lot of other new techs also. But now in the real project work, it's only work work and work. Not much opportunities to learn new things. CTO doesn't involve in day to day work, but however technology practice leadership focus more on process than technical stuff Most of the time tech practice leadership will take the side of PMs and delivery management than working with his own team and helping them. most of the tech leads and architects doesn't provide the necessary support and guidance to the teams. mainly because they have too much work to do due to the process One of the main issues of this company had been poor HR. And it still remains a issue. if an employee has any concerns there is no one to really talk to. people can't reach middle management because lot of issues are caused by them or they aren't sensitive to employee concerns. If you talk you'll endup getting highlighted. Tech or QA leads can't help because they are also under the middle management. Basically there isn't a good compassionate HR contact point that lower-tier employees can discreetly and comfortably talk to. Company recently hired new HR management. but he's also hanging out with the middle management and it's doubtful that he ever reach the lower-tier employees. No one will reach to HR due to their attitude. Recently employees started raising their concerns in forums like Glassdoor, because there isn't a clear way to voice their concerns. But even that effort had been utterly humiliated by HR department in a recent company meeting without trying to improve the situation.

Pros

Good founders and CTO try their maximum to bring the company up

Cons

- External consultants who has no prior experience on people management are spoiling HR, employee's career by introducing failed org structure - Most of the heads are from political experience or survived within politics from their previous companies, so at mitra - Promote or make visible only the known or best buddies to founders and make others less visibility - QA leadership is utter nonsense who has no idea what is he/she doing but keen on keep only few qa engineers within the circle and make sure promotions and salary increment for them - majority are from technical or engineering practice but head is just talkand not even listening what others say unless engineer says what he wants. Most of the talks are obvious and visible to gain more for his benefits or his buddies who worked with him but do nothing forother engineer's benefits. just process and few yes no questions wont address the issues engineering has, so failed projects. - Engineers are wasting 3-4 hours daily for meeting and process related activities, so no productivity - heads are thinking modern age engineers are foolds and dont understand the politics theydo - New employees are indirectly educated on past issues to set the tone and give different impression about certain people, so New employees are brought within the politics from day one. - if you know or worked with practice heads, no matter 10years back, you are welcome as you will get all what you want including fastest promotion and salary - A company with world record career growth backed by politics. You can be an architect within 5 6 year. - some people are working on multiple projects simultaneously but some same level people are only one project because backed by heads , so flexible work. -
