Pros

Some good people for sure

Cons

Awful management team - nice people, but they don't work well together at all. No communication, zero strategy, all their "innovations" are just copying others out there. I can't tell you all how nice it felt when I left. My mental health got SO much better. No more painful, short sighted conversations, micromanagement and lack of vision. Best example of how things work at Menlo, in their "transparent, ask anything" all hands meeting, I asked a question about if they could help at all with the rising costs of inflation for employees, if they'd consider higher cost of living increases this year given how tight it's been. My question was asked in the software, it was up voted by at least 5 people.. and I saw that the admin deleted it. Way to show that "we're a family" Menlo. I also know of some stories of racist comments made by some groups, and I know that was swept under the rug too. Just an awful culture. The less you know the better.

Pros

Interesting product, big name investors/customers

Cons

We are understaffed at every single dept, except for sales - who doesn't bring in enough revenue to justify the size of their team. Everyone in legal, finance, marketing, IT and general support are severely overworked and stressed out on a consistent basis, especially since COVID hit. As a company our leadership lacks guts and conviction. We don't have the guts to invest in areas of need to grow the company like engineering, marketing, daily operations. We are way too cheap. Took in a round of funding in 2019 and we haven't spent a dime of it, all while sales struggles and we clearly have areas where we need to improve. We lack strategy, no one seems to have an idea where we are going as a company. No one is truly set up for success, our communication is awful. I talk to a lot of coworkers, morale is consistently down. The turnover rate is very high, rare to see anyone out of Exec Staff here longer than 2 years.
