Pros
- Awesome project pipeline - I was mentored in all the technical skills I lacked - I was given real responsibility from day one - Tasks have been challenging and meaningful; working here is more than a job, it's a mission - The founders' humility belies their accomplishments + ambition - University of Oxford and ESA partnerships mean there are frequent opportunities to attend fascinating events, and meet brilliant people. - "Flexible work hours" that are actually flexible (if you can get all your tasks done!)
Cons
- Small team and breadth of work required can make focused skill development difficult; my dev skills progression has been slower than hoped for (though rounded out by development of biz dev skills) - Work follows you home and can mess with your sleep patterns - No upfront equity when hiring
