I have never in my life felt the axe hanging above my head like I did with this company. Head office is a joke, they don't care about their staff at all. The phrase "we are gonna lose good people" actually came out of their mouth more than once when they made huge changes on a whim that effected us at a store level. They were constantly changing how things were done, just to turn around and change it again after you've completed what has been asked. Your constantly told to adjust to the changes, and make sure you mind what you say. Heaven forbid you have a question or concern about how things are being done. They expect unrealistic sales, but yet never send product you actually need. The amount of time we had customers looking for specific items that we were only sent 3 of and sold the day we unpacked it, or had launches that we didn't receive the product until days or even weeks later. This is them setting us up to fail, and then punishing us for something we have no control over. You could work for this company for years, give all of yourself to them, be a loyal member of the Mastermind team and it doesn't matter, they will fire you for no reason. Get rid of your position just to go out and create new positions that are the exact same job except now they don't have to pay whomever they replace you with as much. This company is a machine, they don't care about the little guy at all. If you are just a sales associate and have a good in store manager, you may not feel all this, but I guarantee you your manager is struggling. Head office uses trauma, whiplash and fear tactics to keep their store level management in line. It's appalling. Do yourself a favor and don't apply here.
