Pros

You are lead to believe you will be a part of a team and a collaborative environment... so that’s a pro until you step foot in the dreaded layer of hell where your very worst nightmare will be soon realized.

Cons

It is very difficult to put into words what a horrible experience and what horrible leadership this entire experience was. It was by far the most demoralizing and upsetting work environment I have ever worked in. Watching unpaid interns being called out and cry on a daily basis was heart wrenching. The work is irrelevant and will be completely obsolete in a few years as they have no understand of where the industry is heading or a grasp of the digital or social landscape.

The worst place I've ever worked

Pros

Not many, unless you're only focused on having large brands on your resume.

Cons

Pretty much everything else. I've never worked for or heard of anything like this place. The owner and senior leadership worship a hustle culture mentality - if you're not working 7am until 7pm, you're not working hard enough. The "managers" are best friends with the VP and owners, and the favouritism isn't subtle. Anyone account executive and lower is just over worked and treated like minions. The agency positions itself to be a full service agency for brands, so are at every beck and call for clients, all while their team is overworked, burnt out and under appreciated. Junior staff members work 10+ hours a day and this is considered normal, and any flags in workload are seen as poor work ethic, a complainers mentality or that you're not up for the tasks at hand. I would avoid this place like the plague. Having Roots, Garnier and The Body Shop on your resume only goes so far if your mental and physical health is compromised. Find an agency that actually cares about you, not one that sends a gift card once in a while as a bandaid solution.

Pros

Learned a lot in a short period of time

Cons

Management team doesn't understand work/life balance Worked 14 hours days 6 days a week Have PTSD from working here The management team is very belittling and disrespectful of your work and time HUGE communication problem within the entire team There's a reason why their turnover rate in employees is so high There are better agencies Management team doesn't take into account their own mistakes
