Learned a ton, made great network connections, had a lot of unique experiences that still inform my career today.
Cons
Lots of politics, high-stress, always on-call, long days, tons of drama, made it thorugh 4 rounds of layoffs to be caught in the 5th one mid pandemic with no warning - spent my entire 5 years there thinking I could be fired any day for any reason.
lots of talented people. the perks are outstanding. the company is pre-ipo and all the free snacks and meals make it easy on the wallet
Cons
management thrash is constant and seems to be lots of issues with timely decision making. lack of focus on new projects and constant rehash of the same thing makes for a shortsighted approach currently.
