Pros

The team you work with are great, everyone loves making software. Great focus on good programming. Loads of helpful people who support you in the team.

Cons

Upper management don't respect the employees and don't trust their staff. Parking costs have to be claimed back on expenses. Benefits aren't good. Low staff retention. Poor planning.

Pros

People tend to bond over shared problems. At MPP Global, you can't help but feel united with your colleagues as you weather the many recurring storms together. It's a great place to make great friends, because you've got to find something to make the days bearable.

Cons

Salespeople sell the dream to prospects; a dream which obviously can't be fulfilled. This trickles down to weeks and months of stress for people in the product and development teams as they scramble together to fulfill not only the product roadmap, but the dozens of "urgent" requests for new functionality from salespeople, to get a deal over the line. Most of the managers aren't properly equipped or trained to manage people, leading to a lot of miscommunication, stress and confrontation. Some really aren't bothered about your personal development - they just want to do what they can to get by and look good to upper management. Your experience at MPP Global is largely determined by who manages your department, so it might not be a risk many would like to take. Pretty much the only way to get a payrise or promotion is by threatening to leave. Staff shouldn't expect that hard work will always be recognised, even if they try their best to shout about it.
