Cons
The red flags are endless. It is a toxic and political environment with epic incompetence of the engineering management, HR, and Recruiting. Your benefits still won't work properly after six months. It is not worth spending any amount of your life at this company. The mass exodus of good engineers continues steadily as of June 2018 and those still there are disgruntled and actively looking. There is zero real accountability from senior management and a dysfunctional silo structure, so directors/engineers fail at their jobs and are protected for years. There is no sense of product ownership to just get the job done. If you try, you are met with massive backlash from each silo and your own mgmt. Directors would rather blame and complain and posture instead of doing the work. In fact, my boss said that complaining a lot is what got him his position. The most frequent phrase I heard throughout the company was "that's not my job." My boss would lash out about the irrelevant, micromanage while ignoring everything critical, throw his direct reports under the bus, and build cases against us, all out of desperation due to his own insecurity and incompetence. Even after many reports to mgmt, universal recognition of his behavior and 100% turnover of his team, he is still there. Verbal tantrums and sexual harassment were tolerated and if you reported it you were gas-lighted and retaliated against by both mgmt and HR.
