Unethical Business that Delivers a Bad Product

Pros

Job interview process was incredibly easy...probably should have been a warning sign. Team was young (and inexperienced), but were eager to please management.

Cons

Was told by manager after being hired that they like to stretch the truth about being a Google partner when speaking with clients. Product is nothing to be proud of--paying to have bad writers put together shoddy content to flood local SMB online catalog and ill-trained web designers to put together cookie-cutter websites. The product and methods used to retain clients left me feeling that I was working for a shady, blackhat SEO organization.

Vivial vs localvox

Pros

This is strictly just to inform people about the name. I know people that work there still very well and it's not fair to tell people wrong info.

Cons

Vivial didn't acquire localvox - they just changed their name. Same company same people same product. I haven't worked there in a year or so but this is facts.

Where dreams go to die

Pros

Young team of nice people on the localvox side. Everyone leaves at 5 on the dot.

Cons

All they care about is the bottom line. They're happy to stretch employees as thin as possible and make them serve up a bad product, even though the customers are very vocal about feeling ripped off. The Dayton office is drab and decoration isn't allowed. It's like sitting in a prison cell but you have to listen to 50 people talkin on phones at the same time. You can't concentrate with the constant distractions of the open cubicle floorplan. They track your call times to make sure you're up to quota, so beware of the Account Coordinator position - it's really a customer support position. Some ACs have over 200 clients, and the Social Managers now have 40 clients, which is completely insane. They give promotions without raises, but promotions are extremely rare. People are quitting at an incredibly high rate. The content is bad, the products are bad, the morale is bad. The parent company - Berry - just rebranded to Vivial, but they keep buying products that have failed and try to fix them. It's not working. Save yourself - don't work here.
