Pros

Seems like a great environment at the beginning. Training is too notch

Cons

Regardless if you make your goals you can be laid off for no reason. They literally track how many emails you send a day. Would look elsewhere for a longer term career

Thank you for taking the time to post your feedback. I am genuinely saddened to read this review as it doesn’t look like OTA Insight has worked out for you professionally. I couldn’t agree more, it’s really important to ‘be careful’ with any career decision. We take great pride in being a high performing team so we have a pretty rigorous hiring process, where we do our very best to find and match the best talent with available opportunities. It’s very much a two way street where we try and learn / share as much information as possible with candidates through out the process. However, joining a company and team is similar to other relationships in that despite first impressions, sometimes it just doesn’t work out. There is no utopia or perfect team that suits every persons needs but we do our very best to avoid misalignment through an open and honest recruitment process. OTA Insight is a great company, with a great team, with great career opportunities but it’s not for everyone. To give you a sense of proportion, 8 of the 178 talented professionals we hired in 2022 decided OTA Insight wasn’t for them or vice versa. We never ‘lay people off for no reason’. If a team member is not performing to an expected level, we provide feedback on specific areas of improvement and do our very best to support the individual through the process. More often than not it works out, but candidly sometimes it doesn’t. I’m really sorry it didn’t work out for you at OTA Insight and I wish you the very best with whatever you decide to do next. If there’s ever anything I can do to help, please don’t hesitate to contact me directly. Thanks again, Sean (CEO)

Pros

Learn a new industry. Hospitality. Swag.

Cons

If I could give ZERO stars, I would. This place is simply OTA Insight rebranded. If swag and the coercive attitude to maintain an energetic, start-up like culture has the ability to replace actual base pay for you, then you may be set. I was paid $40K a year in Denver. Let me say that again - $40K a year in Denver, a place where it's common knowledge that you need at least $105K+ to survive as a single person to meet basic needs. Overall, I just found this place to be another corporate slavery machine with all the same stale office politics and nepotism as other companies. The Silicon Valley 'we-mostly-work-out-of-WeWork's-since-it's-trendy energy and the 'be-grateful-because-we-gave-you-a-tshirt' charade soon wears thin to reveal the obvious fact that they pay you peanuts. The stylized euro culture is simply a vail to shade the egregiously low salaries they attempt to get away with paying people. Avoid.

Pros

Good benefits Good product Good support from RSM's and Customer Care Competitive base salary Good work-life balance

Cons

Less than 15% of people hit quota for BDM's Leadership has no loyalty to reps - lots of fluffy statements but nothing behind them Leadership dictates when and how much you get paid out when signing sizable deal Fear of going to HR to express displeasure. Concerned it'll come back and cause them to be punished/fired

Thanks for taking the time to provide feedback. We’re sorry to hear you're unhappy in your role with Lighthouse. We genuinely do our best to ensure our whole team is set up for success, in particular our Business Development Managers (BDMs) because they are so integral to representing and growing our business. In terms of the hiring, onboarding and ramping up our BDMs for success, here's a quick recap of our supports: * 1 month intensive onboarding with industry, product, process and team training to set you up for success * Mentor program to ensure ongoing focus & ‘on the job’ development * Quarterly sales academies and live training to build on your base knowledge * Supportive and collaborative environment where there's a team cheering for your success In terms of loyalty, our leadership and management team are very much invested in your success: * Management compensation is tied to team & company success - if you don't succeed, nobody succeeds * In response to your comment on leadership dictating payment, we always do our best to be fair and balanced when it comes to compensation. Our compensation plans are clear and based on industry standards. When BDMs 'team' on larger opportunities, compensation is open, transparent and based on relative contribution. Lastly, the majority of our fully ramped BDMs are achieving 80%+ quota. While you may not be hitting quota now, if you're willing to apply your talents and put in the work, it will pay off. Please don’t be reluctant to contact your Manager, HR or anyone on the leadership team if you're unhappy or feel you’re not set up for success at Lighthouse. You were hired for a reason and we really want you to succeed! All the best, Sean (CEO)
