Pros

Some people working here are nice. The normal ones who aren't part of the clique who in turn get glossed over for not being part of the clique. Ironic really.

Cons

The most bizzare and unprofessional organisation ever. People are hired for their skills and expertise and then are literally told to keep their mouth quiet in meetings. It's such a strange culture. Some really good people but they're not allowed to voice their opinion because they aren't in the cool gang. Eventually get fed up and anyone worth their salt leaves within 18 months as they're broken, worn down and soul destroyed after trying to break through the mould and the toxic culture. Such a bad reputation in the industry for a workplace environment. LOTS of unprofessional happenings going on that simply wouldn't fly anywhere else.... Best advice would be to speak to someone who has worked here before even considering a role here... Aka don't do it. No job is worth how this place makes you feel. The only people that succeed in this organisation are the hand picked few that are worthy of being in the gang, regardless of their actual experience and qualifications. For everyone else, they have an escape plan and the best leave within 18 months. A toxic, vile and degrading work environment that breeds a culture of fear, stress, panic and chaos. Layered on top with a lack of strategy, planning or any trust. Also makes you come into the office 4 days a week as they don't trust you working from home but that suited them just fine when everyone worked from home during covid... Just avoid.

Pros

Team members were excellent and unfortunately under appreciated.

Cons

Having worked in the company for a number of years, across a number of positions including management, I can safely say it is the most hypocritical company in this country. They talk a great game with “work-life balance” (doesn’t exist), “mental health awareness day” (yet treat their staff terribly) “we don’t have staff, we have team members” (yet treat these “team members” like a hinderance to the company). The manner in which their head office communicates with the in-store teams is nothing short of appalling. When teams attempt to communicate with head office for instances such as incorrect pay, they are left without reply and subsequently need to send multiple emails to various members of head office to so much as receive a generalised and almost irrelevant reply brushing off the issue. Initial management wage is barely over minimum wage yet comes with oceans of stress induced from head office. Along with this comes the outlandish demands that arrive in terms of needing more deployment on shop floors yet providing zero extra man hours. Not even paying team members the general minimum wage (by taking advantage of a widely unused law) but expecting the moon and the stars in return and constantly hiring more members to ensure that no team member gets much above their contracted 8 hours. It is no mystery why the company cannot resolve their issue of high turnover of both team members and management.

Pros

Great people work in entry level and mid level roles, talented and fun people to work with Brands are amazing to work with

Cons

- pay is below average in the industry - lack of progression, people promoted based on personal relationships and not work ethic - If you aren’t in the click you will not progress here, bully and gossip mentality comes from the top and is nothing short of vile behaviour - no support from managers to progress, they only care about saving themselves - workload is ridiculous with last minute requests which adds to stress - lack of planning is so frustrating if you value structure and routine - massively high turnover rate, if you make friends they will more than likely have left within 18 months - communication is very poor which makes it difficult to do your job properly - no team spirit, people will push you under the bus - brand values are false (social, inspirational, fearless) brand events involve copious amounts of free alcohol and induced fear for weeks afterwards - you are hired for your expertise but ideas are never appreciated, the company will continue to look to the past when making decisions and are hesitant to make change to their ways - I would be very concerned about the brands outlook and would advise you to avoid here at all costs
