Expect ANZ offices to shut to prioritise UK
Pros
Hard to think of any that stand out. The team in the office I worked in were lovely. This team has mostly moved on due to negligible management.
Cons
The sales process itself is so close to being a scam but not enough for Learning People to be investigated. They pretend to have a price reduction that is always in place. I know this is a sales tactic, but it does indicate a company with low levels of moral integrity. This is actually illegal in The UK and I do not know how they haven't been called out on it before. The product: - Can be found cheaper elsewhere, in some circumstances for free. - Sold to people who do not have the mental capacity to complete the training. A lot of these potential students are either desperate, immigrants, already students with massive debts. While I realise it is ultimately their decision if they move forward with the training we were told to lie about their potential to have a career in tech. - The platform used by Learning People is not good, specifically the Code+ collection that is somehow the most expensive course yet can be found for a fraction of the price elsewhere on the internet. Live labs rarely work, books are not provided. Sales tactics are disgusting. We were told to make the customer feel like their life is worthless and the only way out of this misery is to take up one of the bloated courses we offer. I feel this company was conceived with good intension that were quickly pushed to the side once they saw the dollars stacking up. A company that was covid proof due to the nature of its product. Got high on its own supply and ended up cannibalising itself due to its senior managements own arrogance.
