Pros

Hard to think of any that stand out. The team in the office I worked in were lovely. This team has mostly moved on due to negligible management.

Cons

The sales process itself is so close to being a scam but not enough for Learning People to be investigated. They pretend to have a price reduction that is always in place. I know this is a sales tactic, but it does indicate a company with low levels of moral integrity. This is actually illegal in The UK and I do not know how they haven't been called out on it before. The product: - Can be found cheaper elsewhere, in some circumstances for free. - Sold to people who do not have the mental capacity to complete the training. A lot of these potential students are either desperate, immigrants, already students with massive debts. While I realise it is ultimately their decision if they move forward with the training we were told to lie about their potential to have a career in tech. - The platform used by Learning People is not good, specifically the Code+ collection that is somehow the most expensive course yet can be found for a fraction of the price elsewhere on the internet. Live labs rarely work, books are not provided. Sales tactics are disgusting. We were told to make the customer feel like their life is worthless and the only way out of this misery is to take up one of the bloated courses we offer. I feel this company was conceived with good intension that were quickly pushed to the side once they saw the dollars stacking up. A company that was covid proof due to the nature of its product. Got high on its own supply and ended up cannibalising itself due to its senior managements own arrogance.

Pros

Work colleagues are good people but constantly terrified of losing their jobs.

Cons

Very poor team leadership and senior leadership in the organisation. What was a thriving, positive sales environment a few years ago has turned into a negative, toxic workplace that noone respects. Management try to run a sales team with inexperience and outdated methods that to be honest are embarrassing. Staff turnover is very high and there was no exit interview when I left which shows that upper management have their head in the sand. What was a winning atmosphere for the sales teams has now gone. The company hires lots of sales people at one time and expects 80% of them to fail. Training is poor, as is the product we tried to sell. The customer service for students is poor, and we had to listen to constant complaints from students feeling ripped off. It was so hard to make targets, poor leads and not enough of them, really poor training and a toxic work environment made it an easy choice to go.

Pros

The company used to be a great place to work, great leadership, lots of fun, great culture with a winning attitude. That has all changed since the current CEO made changes that have hurt the business dramatically a few months ago. The place is a shell of what it once was.

Cons

Poor leadership, no direction, no answers. We went from a winning culture to a culture that feels toxic and on a path to collapse. Many of the staff have left in the last couple of months, and most of the sales team are looking for new jobs at the moment. It is such a shame that a business has gone down hill so quickly and there is no coming back. We used to make great money under the previous management here, now it is minimum wage.
