Pros

The pension is the only good thing I can say about LTE Group

Cons

As someone who has worked at LTE Group, I can confidently say it has been the worst professional experience of my career. This company's disregard for talent and welfare is appalling. It's not about competence or dedication; it's about whether your face fits their narrow mold. LTE Group's approach to staffing is nothing short of exploitative. They routinely overwork employees, refusing to invest in adequate resources and instead opting to squeeze every ounce of energy from their workforce. There's no consideration for work-life balance or employee well-being; you're just another cog in their profit-driven machine. The toxic culture at LTE Group is pervasive. Those who thrive are not necessarily the skilled or innovative individuals, but rather the micromanagers and institutionalists who are content to stagnate. Innovation and progress are stifled, as intelligent ideas are met with fear and resistance from insecure managers. Speaking of managers, their behaviour is consistently rude, unprofessional, and inflexible. They seem threatened by intelligence and fresh perspectives, preferring to maintain their power through intimidation rather than fostering a collaborative and respectful work environment. In summary, LTE Group is a company where talent goes to die and employees are treated as expendable commodities. If you value your well-being and professional growth, steer clear of this toxic organisation at all costs.

Pros

The only thing good was the colleagues

Cons

So stressful, short staffed, management is poor. Only flexible when it suits them, this place is toxic. There is favouritism, I faced discrimination only here. 90% of the time holidays are rejected! Don't bother asking for help or any questions they never respond. This place is not diverse at all. So many people leave and the only ones who stay are either the controlling people or ones who are too comfortable and never been elsewhere. No opportunity for progression they do not help with any development. The TM has no idea what they're doing says yes to things one second next within a few hours it's a no! Place is a joke! The work is too much and pay is low! Its so stressful no breathing space! Everything is outdated and old fashioned. When you bring up anything they have done wrong they get all defensive and start making lies about the staff. Too much micromanaging! This place they dont like being questioned! Working here is the same as working in those third world countries. They don't make any changes either because they don't like change. Sickness policy is a joke it's a policy where they want to drag you in, and if you decide to work here don't fall ill because if you do it means to them you just don't want to work and go in the office. Internet goes down at home you get the TM straight away chasing to send you in the office ASAP but if its anyone they like it's ok you don't have to go in just wait until your Internet is bk. When trying to work you get them chasing you even though they know your busy! Management never jump in to help with the work! Toxic place avoid! If you want to go mental and get stressed this is the place to be. Also if you have children don't work here because I was told your work comes first not your child.

Prisoners were the best part of the job, and that says it all.

Pros

Teaching and admin staff care about their job and are mostly fantastic people trying to make a difference.

Cons

Where do we start, entire company of NOVUS education is ran by idiocy and incompetence. Managers have absolutely no idea what they are doing, nor are they given any sufficient training to even attempt to deliver acceptable education to anyone or safeguard and manage staff effectively. Safety and staff wellbeing within the NOVUS education dept. In the prison is non-existent. Staff working in unsafe environments, 60 male sex offenders and no working alarms, no heating working for months, two radios between 25 staff members. Staff left alone to go onto wings with only a radio, never given adequate training within the prison. So called ‘quality’ managers deliver CPD by sticking a video on and talking about lesson expectations, the hypocrisy is astounding and it would be funny despite the fact that this blatant incompetence spreads through the entirety of management and senior leadership. Management bully, intimidate and harass staff members and most establishments favour nepotism and cheap labour over anyone actually qualified to do their job. Men are put in for the wrong exams constantly, teaching is poor and exam marking is forged/altered. Actual salaries are horrendous and don’t even talk about the contracts, everyone is on a different contract, you don’t get paid for hours you work over your contracted yearly hours. If you are cover staff you’re expected to plan lessons, mark and participate in CPD during your lunch which is UNPAID. If you are anyone outspoken or someone that questions practices/workload/priorities you are pushed/bullied out. I have never worked anywhere with such terrible management and toxic work culture and was glad to get out when I did.
