Pros

Opportunities to acquire new skills in a startup environment. Visionary founders with good ideas about culture. Great marketing and brand curation.

Cons

Effort above and beyond is expected and considered the minimum to meet expectations. Minimal bonus and benefit programs with increases less than inflation. Minimal training with a changeable workload with a sink or swim approach performance with new clients. Success reflects on company failure reflect on you. Limited strategic thinking from management with poorly monitored project, unrealistic timelines and unengaged leadership.

Thank you for all your feedback. On the “pro” feedback we do strive to have a great culture and create an environment of constant learning, which I am glad you experienced. I am very sorry to hear about your experience on the “cons” side because that is the opposite of what we feel we are creating. I am one of the leaders, and founders, and I know we are constantly monitoring to make sure we have the right number of resources to match the workload and are creating an environment for our coworkers to succeed. That is always one of the biggest challenges and most important areas of focus for us as a professional services company. We also pay close attention to rewarding outstanding performance based on setting clear, achievable targets for our team members. As for your last comment, I certainly feel engaged as well and also know the rest of the senior leadership team is, but you did not experience that which is regrettable. With this feedback I will certainly check back on those points to make sure we are doing the best we can for our team. Regards, Chris M.

Pros

Hard working employees and good intention from the Co- founders and VP team to have a good environment but just that - intentions.

Cons

Overworked and undervalued staff, high turnover, culture groups are mandatory and linked to bonuses when they know employees are overwhelmed with regular tasks and don't have time for culture activities, inadequate compensations, no clear career paths or promotion, uneven work/life balance. People are hired by "fit" and after years in the company are fired by the same reason "don't fit" . I didn't feel recognized for my expertise and hard work, instead they hired new graduates for lower salaries. I felt taken advantage of and overwhelmed compare to another coworkers in the same team. The flexibility to work remotely is not for all the employees. It is not a great place to work for somebody looking to grow their careers in life insurance.

I am very sorry to hear this was your experience and you did not feel recognized for all your efforts while with LOGiQ3. We do a lot to monitor time, balance, fit, and rewards and recognition. In fact, with the changes we made to the benefit package, the addition of both a bonus program and pension plan for all employees, and recent office move I really believe we have a better than average environment and compensation package. Our hiring philosophy has always been to hire seasoned professionals and recent graduates to both make sure we have the expertise we need to service our clients, as well as a good balance of building the next generation. I see that you are a former employee. Please reach out to me at any time to provide more context to your feedback so we can be sure to learn from both the good, and the bad. Regards, Chris M.

I am certainly sorry to hear that your experience with us was not positive—we take critical feedback seriously and continually try to improve the company. One of the vehicles we use to get feedback is our quarterly culture survey which gives every employee the opportunity to provide anonymous feedback, whether it be positive or negative. Our most recent survey gave our culture a 93% approval rating—and, even with that level of success, there was some helpful feedback that will allow to improve even more. Building and maintaining a strong culture has been a hallmark of LOGiQ3 for the entire 11 years we’ve been in business, however, we just got the ping pong table a couple of months ago—and the employees seem to like it. Not sure why having one is a bad thing. I did read the Forbes article and found that our culture actually stacks up really well. We do have an open concept floor plan which we hope facilitates better communication and transparency and we do try to be as flexible as we can with work-from-home arrangements. I believe these are benefits that most employees appreciate. And, finally, we do focus a lot of attention on our customers—in addition to focusing on our employees. We believe the two must go hand-in-hand for us to be successful.
