Great Team, but Concerning Leadership and Work-Life Balance Red Flags

The recruiter and the team members I met during the earlier rounds were lovely and clearly very dedicated to their work.
Cons
There was a lack of transparency early in the process about the team dynamic and how closely the role would work with the founder and principal. The final interview raised several immediate red flags. First, I was only given interview time slots between 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM. This gave the distinct impression that working late hours and constant availability are expected or rewarded. During the interview, the conversational dynamic was unprofessional. The founder was dismissive of my answers and constantly interrupted me; I could barely finish a single sentence before being subjected to rapid-fire questioning ("what about this," "what about that"). It also left the impression that the founder operates as an extreme bottleneck where their word is the final say, regardless of client needs or project timelines. It became clear very quickly that this is not an environment I would want to work in.
