Cons
The biggest downside to L7 is that very few people here know the commercial scientific informatics market. Or the enterprise software market. At all. This is different from knowing science (there were some admirable scientists here). My boss was the biggest wimp ever, so our work area had no assertive representation into "management" such as it was. He was terrified of his boss. Also, the company has a strange cult of personality around the CEO (especially strange since his industry name recognition was limited). No other company in our field promotes itself this way. Outside of a couple bright spots, I observed little transparency or integrity here. I could not get a straight answer to the simplest questions, even when I was just starting.
