Pros

-Growth opportunities -Monthly stipend for in-store purchases

Cons

-Management is protected against employee complaints -HR does not help the employees -Pay is below NYC market -Clients are treated unfairly -Expected to work without pay (ie: come in earlier/stay later without compensation) -Said to be a "salaried" position but you have to clock in and out, so your pay is based on time in the office. In my experience, "salary" is a flat compensation you receive weekly based on 40 hours and is paid out no matter if you work 20 hours or 50 hours. Therefore, balancing the scales of a week being particularly easy or grueling.

Pros

Very flexible scheduling. Good work life balance. You work with people around your age. Bright, lively work atmosphere. Free drinks on shift, and free upgrades off shift. Management used to buy lunch for employees on weekends. Employee nights were paid for, and were fun and used to boost team morale. This is a really good starter job for someone who likes working in a fast-paced setting. You work with young people, and it was always fun coming to work. Know your formulas and work hard. If you put in the work and come in with an open mindset, you'll have a great time.

Cons

Management is very strict with knowing formulas. There are maybe a hundred or more formulas you will need to know and it is BRUTAL. You will have to memorize the formulas and know them by heart. You will be tested every few weeks and even one single mistake will prevent you from getting a pay raise or making tea. This is understandable because the company genuinely cares about producing quality drinks for every single customer.

Pros

Absolutely none, nothing else to say.

Cons

Minimum wage, terrible managers (owners) favoritism because I’m not like them. Always set on kitchen which is hell on earth, dirty, rude annoying co workers, scheduled 2 days before shift, constantly complains on how they are not breaking even... not my problem.
