Not As Full of Integrity as They Say...

Pros

Supports employees personally and with career goals, provides snacks and discounts at places around town, pays well, swanky office.

Cons

Statistically, Kit and Ace has an average job tenure of 8 months. I made it 6 before being laid off due to restructuring despite my excellent performance reviews, pending promotions etc. Some of my co-workers were also laid off without notice after receiving a promotion weeks before. They don't really have their game together yet in terms of who or what they need in terms of employees. So if you're willing to put it all on the line, go ahead. And now, 3 months after layoffs, they are searching for the very same positions again WITHOUT CALLING THE LIST OF PEOPLE THEY LAID OFF.

Pros

At the shop level, team/people work hard and care about you. Pay is decent. Culture was really cool when we were getting started... Everything went down hill after CEO left.

Cons

If all you care about is money, then work here. -zero training -poor leadership -glass ceiling -market directors are absolutely worthless/ tell you what to do but don't participate in anything and only tell you what you're doing wrong -promises of massive growth, but only lay-offs -the only branding going on now is not working with creatives, but seeing what they can get for free from any rich person (want you to have tupperware parties with highfalutin women at their homes because no one comes into the stores to buy.. ie pulling out every last effort to keep the company alive by ditching its entire brand to sell themselves to the very people they didn't want wearing their clothes) And don't you dare ask an intelligent question, I've seen so many people get set up to be let go by bogus email documentation just because they don't agree with mindless practices.

"Integrity- without it you have nothing........"

Pros

Met some incredible & experienced people in the company, nice modern office in a great location, perks such as snacks, juices, monthly socials & team building outings.

Cons

A few months into working at HQ: team building was no more, atmosphere changed when top managers brought in their inexperienced buddies into the company and then randomly laid off experienced & talented employees even though we were assured our jobs were safe. Were told the layoffs were due to "restructuring" but less than 3 months later are posting for the same positions for more money & less experience without calling any former employees back! With 2 big lay offs in the past 4 months and many quitting in between- I would recommend to stay away from kit and ace. It's a sure sign of unhappy employees. What was once a company about integrity and transparency became a company based on secrets and lies.
