The Kinetica team has built a unique solution utilizing GPUs for fast data processing & analytics, and the company has managed to obtain a large round of funding, they have quickly built out the core business functions, and they are trying to develop a solution that is viable for enterprise deployments. The organization has done a great job recruiting top talent from the "Big Data" ecosystem and is on the cutting edge of what might be the next generation data analytics solutions.
Cons
Leadership in this organization does not respect or even like each other. The CEO/Founder and the other leaders in this organization are constantly in conflict; there is an absurd amount of internal politics within a fairly small organization and an incredibly high rate of turnover. There have been multiple accounts of questionable ethical employment engagements, lack of core values, including issues related to compensation and stock option grants. Plus their technology is very early, and the story does not match-up with the implementation details.
