In my experience, working here was chaotic, stressful, and incredibly disorganised. The workplace felt extremely cliquey, with obvious favouritism that made it almost impossible for new staff to feel included or supported. Management communication was inconsistent, instructions changed depending on who you asked, and expectations were often unclear until you were suddenly told you’d done something “wrong”.
The workload was completely disproportionate to to pay, yet staff were expected to carry out huge amounts of cleaning, cafe duties, customer service, cat care, and admin simultaneously. Training was minimal, feedback was rare, and when it did come, it was often after the fact rather than when it would have been useful.
Overall, it felt like a place that relied on people’s love for animals to tolerate conditions that simply weren’t fair at all.
