Pros

It used to be a good place?

Cons

Their management of Support had failed so horribly once the new CEO took over, that all of their agents eventually just left leaving them to pull in workers from other departments or hire near-shore workers without training them. Anytime one of the Support staff leaves a review we notice three new reviews go up with approximately 8-10 "I found this helpful" votes.

Pros

- great work/life balance - no pressure to work long hours. - a minority of the employees are really engaged and kind and working to make life at work better. That minority rules! - software has some innovative features, even if it struggles in quality sometimes.

Cons

- a product that is not well-loved by the company or its customers (let's be honest: nothing in this space is "loved by customers"; it's just less crappy than its competitors) - politics between departments can be pretty crappy; there is a definite "us vs them" mentality at play. - the good parts of company culture are entirely bottom-up: game nights, social bike rides etc are organized by employees, not management. - career advancement here seems to be predicated on threatening to quit, rather than on awesome achievements

Pros

Awesome coworkers on the individual contributor level. Very cool office in downtown PDX that's unfortunately mostly vacant. Great place to get your foot in the door if you're newer or getting back into tech. Pretty laid back work environment.

Cons

Upper Leadership is very removed and hard to connect with. Non-competitive salary and benefits. Not doing much about employee retention and experiencing very high turnover. Product has immense tech debt. Disappointed to see a lot of talk about DEI but very little actual work in that area. Has a very confusing way of suddenly firing key members of the team without discussing it with the team to see what the impacts would be.
