Pros

There are two division in Irdeto India, engineering and other can be broadly capped into marketing/sales/delivery. The Engineering division reports development team in France. This is good place, no technical learning, but still you have independence and good work life balance.

Cons

The second division that falls into marketing/sales/delivery of project is a politics at its worst. If you are thinking of joining as manager, rest assured, that your life will be hell. The 'old timers' will have all the power to throw you around, give useless job, and they will keep the reporting to themselves. These 'old timers', few in numbers, manage the Irdeto India office for their personal gains, at the cost of new joinees. The politics played by them is, to summarize in one word, cruel. There has been a string of manager's joining under them, people from highly reputed MNCs, and they have been made scapegoat of the politics played by these 'old timers'. A quick reference with these managers over linkedin / facebook is advised before you decide to join this Irdeto India office. Also, the Irdeto India office, works on technology that is on its way out. All real development work happens either with vendors or mostly outside India. This is not going to change in near future as Irdeto head office has least amount of intention to get work done from India office. They are focussed on driving technology from their Netherlands office. And since most of the work is based on cloud, they don't need to let the local office know about implementation details. Most of the employees, are into, what we can call support function to face the client with no real power to implement any code change. They are more like messengers / co-coordinators / testers, whose main role is to face the heat from client and buy time for all the bugs/issues that are escalated.

Big joke

Pros

Good seating arrangement, free coffee and pop, dual screen monitor, some of the people talk friendly, great research team, good award and point system.

Cons

This company is a big joke. Some influential managers and product owners have their whole family working there. Nepotism at it's best. Poor tech. Focus on politics, if you really want to work and make a difference this is not a place to be. Principle developers are more interested in knowing what's going on in the world then actually working for the company. Finger pointing if something doesn't work. Zero encouragement for cross functionality and skill development. Office is full of opportunistic people. Micromanagement. Company says flexible hours but you have to be in office at 9. Unfair salary and promotions. Probably all the fake good reviews are by HR department.
