Pros

My experience at Intropic taught me some valuable life lessons, including: - How to handle an incompetent, short-tempered, delusional manager - How to spot the signs of a toxic workplace As well as this, witnessing this company raise a £25m series A in early 2022 despite the complete ineptitude of the founding team was what convinced me to sell all of my tech stock holdings, saving me a lot of money. For that, I am forever grateful

Cons

I am not a psychologist - but I don't think it's an exaggeration to say that the CPO (co-founder) has a personality disorder. Aside from the regular violent outbursts mentioned in other reviews, I frequently witnessed him lie (to myself and others) in order to get his way - and confronting him on this would only cause him to lash out and double down on his lies. His social skills, emotional intelligence and communication skills are at the level I would expect from a 6-year-old. On top of all this - his lack of experience, his lack of technical/product expertise and his insistence on having total control over everything that happened within the product department made Intropic an entirely unbearable place to work - despite having lots of smart, hard-working and friendly co-workers.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are really sorry if you feel this way about your time working with us, and hope you know our door is always open if you want to chat about anything you have raised. However, we do not support openly targeting individuals on public forums at Intropic in any way, especially when they are easily identifiable, or where mental health is mentioned. We hope you understand why this is, and that we would extend this same courtesy to anyone. Please contact us at people@intropic.io to discuss this further, and hopefully we can come to a resolution together.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review - we are really sorry you didn't enjoy working with us. We are a delivery focused organisation, and are very proud of our revenue - we see our growth as sign that we work well together, collaborate and make things happen. We would like to acknowledge that we do have a WFH policy, and that we encourage 'focus time' from wherever our people focus best, and in many cases that means working from home when they have a deadline. We have certainly never requested people travel in where lack of transport makes it impossible. However, at this early stage in our journey, we have found that being in the office together fosters a culture of collaboration, learning and communication, which in turn has supported our growth. We do accept, however, that this doesn’t suit everyone. Should you wish to discuss anything with us further, we are always willing to listen. You can contact us at people@intropic.io

Hey there - thank you for taking the time to leave your review. We are really sorry you feel you didn’t have a good experience working with us. We take the wellbeing of our people very seriously, and our open door policy is in place to make sure we are listening to our employees. Many people at Intropic work from home a couple of times a week. We encourage people to take ‘focus time’ wherever they focus best, this is often at home and can be for several days where it makes sense for them to be the most productive. But you are correct, at this early stage in our journey, we have found that being in the office together fosters a culture of collaboration, learning and communication, which in turn has supported our growth. We do accept, however, that this doesn’t suit everyone. If you would like to discuss anything you have mentioned further, please get in touch with us at people@intropic.io
