A company that takes appalling care of its employees

Pros

It's hard to really choose the pros of working at IS apart from the 'relaxed' atmosphere and the generous discount.

Cons

This is a company that is so stringy with its money that it would rather let employees go than hold on to them. I saw countless talented employees leave this company because it was too cheap to offer them more money, train them or help them achieve their full potential. Yet the company constantly gives its employees updates on how successful it is and celebrated its obscene revenue on Black Friday (for example) year after year. A real disappointment. Salaries are way below market value. Thankfully I was able to get 20% more salary in a comparable job very easily. This is a very traditional German company masquerading as a trendy start-up. Don't be under any illusions - it's anything but a trendy start-up. This is a company run by middle-aged white conservative German men who go from one CEO position to the next, do basically nothing and get paid a fortune for it.

Pros

Great Colleagues on the personal front Relaxed atmosphere, Managers are really well-behaved and well articulative when it comes to their subordinates No time logging Great work equipment

Cons

Okay where to start, Main problem is this company management is so old school and so divisional. Every dept is dealing with its own problems they don't share a common vision or common goal. They are still believing that running a generic gut-based outbound marketing strategy will get them revenue. Covid was a blessing for this company it grew very well because people had a lot of free money given by govt and biking was the preferred way of commuting because of fear of standing next to someone in public transport now these guys are struggling because reality has hit hard and no one is buying stuff.

Pros

English speakers are welcome in this German company, but don't expect them to speak English 100%

Cons

No training available. You do new task without proper handover and they expect you can do it. The team is not helpful unless you are German. Very biased teamed. No bonus, no Christmas money. Little benefits. Bad onboarding. The CEO keep changing, very unstable company
