Pros

-Given a work vehicle Health Insurance -Direct Deposit

Cons

You also must be: -A mechanic -A Box Truck Driver -A Fork Truck operator Prepare for: -Your brakes to grind for 1 month before replacement. -Lie about what weights you used as half of them will be out of certification at any given time -Lie about test results because if its a scale the FDA is concerned about, it's "more paperwork for the customer" -Your fellow employees to mock certain customers -Not getting a raise until a new person is hired at the same rate as you You will be given: -A workphone that works so poorly they expect you to use your personal device and data. -No tools unless its a "specialized requirement" (temperature probe) -A Van that will receive regular oil changes, and nothing else until it breaks (replace a tire with a bubble with the spare that was cracked as its over 10 years on and have it blow out the next day on a major highway causing an accident) -Brakes for that van but only after about 1 month (could be over 1000 miles) of them grinding. You get the privilege to: -Leave your house at 3am because starting at 7 regardless of at shop in Fairfield or a customer on the east end of Long Island -Helping the owner put on and take off the room of his Camaro -Helping the owner move an old fashion bank vault into the shop for him to use as a gun vault (was outfitted with new locks for guns and a second box for the ammo at least) -Be hired under certain pretenses and have them never brought up again. -Almost no diversity (1 hispanic man, everyone else a white man)

Thank you for the review. Ours is a professional company and we do not "lie" about the work we do. We are audited regularly and always pass our audits with no major non-conformances. As most employers will tell you, hiring the correct candidate is one of their biggest challenges. Unfortunately this former employee was not the right match for our business. I will not call out his name nor will I fire back with comments about why he was let go (no, he did not quit). I will just say that he did not fit our tight-knit company. I was dismayed to hear that this employee thought that we only had 1 hispanic employee, when in fact 1/2 of our workforce is diversified. We hire, train and retain employees based solely on ability / attitude and not the color of their skin. Our current employees have been here more than 5 years ... some as long as 20+.
